The following is a recent group notice posted to Mac Users with an workaround for the constant freezing issues. The fix is *NOT* recommended by Linden Labs, but it *is* posted in the wiki. Users in the group which have tried the fix (it involves using the ATI graphics card driver rather than the NVIDIA driver) report that stability has been improved at the penalty of lower display quality. I do not advise you do this.However, if you have a macbook pro which locks up all the time when running SL, there may be hope. A driver for the macbook has a nasty bug which has a workaround:
